WHAT IS THE OLSC TORONTO GOVERNANCE TEAM? 

The volunteer OLSC Governance team is composed of elected executive members and appointed directors required to fulfill and maintain our obligations to Liverpool Football Club, including enhancing the fan experience in the Greater Toronto Area. This team will be focused on increasing the reach of the OLSC, driving memberships, and maintaining the highest level of member satisfaction.

 

WHY IS THIS REQUIRED? 

The organizational structure, job descriptions, and recommended experience for each position is designed to ensure the OLSC has the required personnel to achieve the aggressive membership targets established by the organization and to provide the infrastructure to manage member and club expectations.

 

WANT TO BE A MEMBER OF THE OLSC TORONTO GOVERNANCE TEAM? 

To be considered, aside from possessing a passion for the Liverpool Football Club, elected and appointed committee members must a member of OLSC Toronto in good standing, must be at least 21 years of age, be willing to fulfill all the duties of the position for a 12 month period, and live in the Greater Toronto Area.

Elected and appointed members must agree to have – and be willing to dedicate – the appropriate time to complete the tasks outlined below with dedication and integrity. Elected members are voted in annually at the Annual General Meeting. Committee Chairs are appointed or re-appointed by the new executive team after election.

Acts as a consultant to the President and Executive team, sharing their experience and knowledge.

President

Elected

Facilitates and leads all club operations through elected, appointed, and volunteer teams. Is the main steward of the club’s vision, ensuring all elected/appointed members and teams’ plans are driving towards our goals.

Senior corporate management experience in the areas of project management, account management, or finance, where teams of people were managed. Related experience managing associations, non-profits, charities, or other volunteer groups. 2 – 3 years involvement in an OLSC organization is strongly recommended. Experience in managing volunteer teams or direct reports is critical.

     

  

Vice President

Elected

Supports the President as/when needed, acts as main liaison with Directors and their teams.

Senior corporate management experience in the areas of sales, marketing, project management, communications, where teams of people were managed. Related experience managing associations, non-profits, charities, or other volunteer groups.

       

Treasurer

Elected

Establishes, manages, and reports on annual budgets for the organizations, manages all payables/receivables. Ensures that the OLSC is on a solid financial foundation for current operations and makes decisions to support the successful achievement of future goals/initiatives.

Corporate experience – or related association/non-profit experience – with finance, budget management, accounting, and financial reporting.

       

Secretary

Elected

Responsible for keeping the minutes and records of all meetings. Keepings and maintains the By-Laws and ensuring that the By-laws are followed at all meetings.

Corporate experience – or related association/non-profit experience – with project management, account management, or administration.

       

Member Experience Director

Elected

This person is responsible for the overall member experience strategy and must oversee all the touchpoints between the OLSC and members. They must ensure that all the planned activities, communications, and campaigns are in line with our responsibilities as an official supporters club, will achieve the overarching goals of the OLSC, and is in accordance with our Charter.

Corporate experience – or related association/non-profit experience – in sales & marketing, fundraising, association membership, customer experience management, etc. Experience in managing volunteer teams or direct reports is critical.

       
       
       

Membership

Appointed

Establishes and manages a lead acquisition plan to grow the OLSC Toronto membership, including ensuring the organization is creating and maintaining a high level of member satisfaction. Successfully leads, manages, and motivates a team of volunteers to complete approved plans, reports on key performance indicators to the executive on a monthly basis.

Corporate experience – or related association/non-profit experience – in sales & marketing, fundraising, association membership, customer experience management, etc.

       

Team Lead: Marketing & Communications

Appointed

Establishes and manages marketing & communications plan, including (but not limited to) social media marketing, email marketing, website operations and blogging, event and venue signage. Successfully leads, manages, and motivates a team of volunteers to complete approved plan, reports on key performance indicators to the executive on a monthly basis.

Corporate experience – or related association/non-profit experience – in branding, marketing, communications, AND social media marketing.

       

Team Lead: Events

Appointed

Establishes and manages all events, including (but not limited to) holiday parties, member appreciation events, etc. Successfully leads, manages, and motivates a team of volunteers to complete approved plans, reports on key performance indicators to the executive on a monthly basis.

Corporate experience – or related association/non-profit experience – in sales & marketing, event management, or project management.

       

Team Lead: Partnerships & Charity

Appointed

Establishes and manages an acquisition plan to attract and engage partner businesses (retailers, restaurants, manufacturers, etc.) to provide added value to members and membership. Establishes and liaises with the approved OLSC-supported charity. Successfully leads, manages, and motivates a team of volunteers to complete approved plans, reports on key performance indicators to the executive on a monthly basis.

Corporate experience – or related association/non-profit experience – in sales & marketing.
