Saying Goodbye To The Slye Fox Pub

💔 A Fond Farewell to The Slye Fox: Thank You, Steve & Jacqui! 🍻

This post comes with a mix of emotions, folks, but mostly, it's a huge wave of gratitude and a bit of sadness.

We’re sharing the news that Steve and Jacqui, the incredible owners of our official LFC supporters pub in Burlington, The Slye Fox, have made the difficult decision to sell the pub. Their last day of ownership will be this Sunday, with a new owner officially taking over on Monday, December 15, 2026.

For years, The Slye Fox has been the base of our Western GTA community. They embraced the LFC Toronto family from day one, always agreeing to open up bright and early for those 7:30 AM kickoffs, decking the place out with our colours, hosting fantastic parties, and offering those great meal specials. They didn’t just host us; they supported us and helped our fan base out West truly grow. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, Steve and Jacqui, for being such amazing hosts and friends to the club.

What Happens Next?

The good news is that the new owner has indicated they plan to honour all partnership agreements! So, in the long run, our watch parties could continue as usual at the Burlington location. However, there will be a brief pause. The new owner plans to undertake renovations and a rebranding effective immediately. This means the pub will be temporarily closed till sometime in January 2026. When we get the details on when the doors will reopen and the rebrand is complete, we'll let all members know immediately.

Need a Matchday Pub During Renovations?

While we wait for the update, you're all welcome to join us at The Elephant & Castle in January for the scheduled matches. We can't wait to see everyone together! Parking is available behind the pub or at various lots around the area. E&C is also a quick GO Train ride from 905 West, with frequent trains all day. We encourage car pooling!!

Finally, for those who want to wish Steve and Jacqui well, they will still be available at their location in Binbrook, ON. Maybe drop by and thank them for everything they’ve done for our LFC Toronto family!

We raise a glass to Steve and Jacqui—thank you for the memories!

YNWA.
