WHERE TO JOIN FELLOW REDS ON MATCHDAY

Red Day Events FAQ
The Official Liverpool Supporters Club (OLSC) – Toronto designates some game watch parties as “Red Day Events” due to their importance in the season. This could include Cup finals, Derby’s, or potentially season-defining matches.
Due to the volume of people that attend these matches at our pubs, the OLSC Executive and our pubs create special events or gameday rules to help ensure everyone has a good time.
These may include:
-
Early OpeningOur pubs have agreed to open at least one hour before kick-off for morning matches. However, for Red Day Events, doors may open as early as 2 hours before kick-off to help accommodate crowd management and increase excitement for guests. Watch our social media feed as well as our member newsletter each week for more details in the week ahead of each match.
-
Pre-Match PartyWe try to replicate the pre-game experience many of us have witnessed at the pubs across Liverpool, such as The Sandon or Taggy’s, by inviting live entertainment or playing pre-selected Liverpool and LFC songs in the hours before the game. You may find additional food or drink specials during these events and have a chance to win great prizes acquired by the OLSC or our sponsors.
-
Premium Member Early AccessRed Day Events will offer OLSC Toronto’s Premium Members the option to gain entry to the pub at least 30 minutes before other members or the general public. This allows our Premium Members the option to grab their favourite seats and settle in before the crowds.
-
Wristband Access RequiredDue to the over-capacity limits we typically see at these events, along with our pubs, we have to implement a wristband access policy for certain games. Over-capacity crowds create several serious problems starting with breaking fire code regulations, which could see the event shut down and the pub fined. Furthermore, over-capacity crowds make it difficult for the pub’s staff to operate and those in attendance don’t get the service they expect or deserve during the match. In some cases, to remain in compliance with fire code regulations and allow the staff to operate effectively, different colour wristbands may be issued for access to different areas of the pub. Please remain in compliance with the rules posted on the day.
-
Raffles/50-50 DrawsOLSC Toronto supports a local charity each year, which is part of our Supporters Club Mandate. The OLSC Toronto Executive uses these games as opportunities to help raise funds for those charities and support our club’s fan-based operations by hosting various raffles or 50/50 draws. Watch for announcements in our social media and newsletters for the details in advance of each match. The funds raised for charity will be donated in a ceremony during our Annual General Meeting.
IMPORTANT NOTES ON RED DAY EVENTS
- Please follow all posted rules and instructions from the pub management and OLSC Toronto. Those failing to comply with the event day rules or instructions will be asked to leave the pub. Repeat offences or any conduct not in line with OLSC Toronto’s Code of Conduct will result in permanent expulsion from the club and a ban from the pub during match days.
- Each Red Day Event will be managed individually so we ask that you watch our Member weekly newsletter and social media posts for more information in advance of each game.
